Originally from Uzbekistan, Dr. Turovsky received early training as a violinist at the Tashkent State Uchilishche of Music. He subsequently completed his doctor of medicine at the Tashkent State Medical Institute. Immigrating to the United States in 1979, he passed his medical exams and pursued a residency at the Cabrini Medical Center in New York City. He earned board certification in 1984 and led an internal medicine practice until the late 1990s, when he transitioned into cosmetic procedures. Leon Turovsky, MD, has achieved status at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine as assistant clinical professor.
