New York City Ticket Industry Advocate
About Leor Zahavi
A founding member of the National Association of Ticket Brokers, Leor Zahavi also helped establish the East Coast Ticket Brokers Association. The successful New Yorker has worked in ticket sales since he launched his own company in 1986. Initially, Leor Zahavi’s company specialized in the purchase and sale of sports and entertainment tickets, but it eventually expanded to offer event planning services and branched into online ticket market making. Over the course of his career, Zahavi has made several major contributions to the industry. Most recently, he collaborated with legislators to propose new legislation that would allow season-ticket holders to resell their tickets. Thanks in part to this advocacy, New York became the first state to permit the resale of season tickets.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Leor Zahavi blogs about sports and entertainment at www.leorzahavi.com, where readers can find information on topics ranging from iconic sports stars to classical music concerts. In his spare time, Zahavi also enjoys cooking and taking photographs. A sports enthusiast, he runs and cycles regularly, and he makes time every year to attend a few baseball games.
