About Leslie Armitage
A private equity transactional professional and Chartered Financial Analyst, Leslie Armitage has served as a Senior Managing Director at Relativity Capital LLC since 2006. Possessing more than two decades of experience, Leslie Armitage raised a $200 million fund from large institutional investors. From the company’s offices in the Washington, D.C., area and New York City, she handles debt and equity financing, creates compensation packages for management teams, and develops teams of private equity professionals. Moreover, Leslie Armitage performs control-focused investments of companies in numerous industries through leveraged buyouts and distressed acquisitions. In 2013, she was named a Leadership Fellow with the National Association of Corporate Directors.
Before co-founding Relativity Capital, Armitage received a Bachelor of Science in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating, she joined The Carlyle Group as an Analyst. During her 15-year tenure with the organization, Leslie Armitage notably became the first female and youngest-ever partner. She also was a founding member of Carlyle's flagship aerospace and defense investment group and served in crucial roles in that firm's international operations. Additionally, she has served on numerous corporate and nonprofit boards, including Alion Science and Technologies and The Leadership Foundry.
