Google Tips and Tricks
How well do you know google?
The first trick is the asterisk. If you put and asterisk in place of a work that you don't know Google will be able to fill in that missing word.
The second trick is the URL cutter. We all know that Google loves the long descriptive URLs, but we all hate them because they are a pain to type in, so Google, ever so considerate, made us a URL cutter. Goo.gl. Goo.gl, on top of being nice and cutting down the size of our URLs, also offers link tracking!
The third is just a little fun fact about Google that you may not have known. Google is increasingly tying all of its various servers together in search results. This creates more hits, so you are more likely to find what you are looking for.
The fourth is both a tip and a trick. If you are looking for something between a numeric range, instead having to stretch you fingers and put the dash, you can put two dots in it's place.
The fifth and final trick. Have you ever gotten tired of searching a web site page to find a customer service number that is hidden in the corner of the page? Well, now you can simply google it! Try typing in "______________ customer service" and it should pull right up!
Did you learn something new? I hope so! I also hope that it helped!
