MY DREAM CLASSROOM
"The technology in my dream classroom would most definitely be relevant to an instructional workflow".
My dream classroom would be a classroom with lots of warm yellows, purples, greens and blues. Each and Every child that walks into my classroom will feel loved and truly cared about. I would have an organized classroom so that my students will always be organized as well. The technology equipment installed in my dream classroom would be a smart board (like the one shown above) in the front of the classroom, laptops, and iPads for every student. That way each child can focus on his or her own task, which will be learning how to properly use the technology that is in the classroom . I will be assisting my students in online learning games so that not only will they have to put their thinking caps on but will have a lot of fun while learning how to use a mouse, a keyboard, and how to properly and safely use the internet! The technology in my dream classroom would most definitely be relevant to an instructional workflow and will help each and every one of my students learn hands-on just as technology has helped me to learn in a more productive way!
Applied Technologies For Teachers(2013) textbook states, "It was during the early 2000s that instructional design and technology integration advanced significantly in K-12 schools, as a new generation of digital natives graduated from college to enter the workforce with better technology skills and integration pedagogy training than many incumbent teachers. (Winslow,Dickerson,Lee,2013 p. 7)
I cant wait to be that new age "digital native" teacher, who has sharp technology skills, and who uses technology for all that it is worth in the classroom each and every day.
