She served as a member of the Women’s Army Corps from 1973 to 1981 and remained as a member of the Army Individual Ready Reserves until 1993. She retired as a commissioned second lieutenant with the Medical Service Corps.

The 18-hole private membership country club course was designed by William F. Gordon and is considered one of the toughest courses in the tri-state area. However, members are welcome to instruction from Professional Golf Association (PGA) members.
Leo De Gisi has been the club's head golf professional and general manager since 1979, and in 1996, was named the Philadelphia PGA Golf Professional of the Year. Assistant golf professionals at the club include Daniel J. Taylor, a graduate of the Penn State Professional Golf Management program who earned PGA affiliation in 2007 and Dan Haskell, former Medford Lakes Country Club general manager and director of golf.
