About Louise Losos
As director of curriculum for Confluence Charter Schools in St. Louis, Missouri, Louise Losos brings more than two decades of experience in public high school administration and teaching to her position, along with an impeccable record of educational leadership. Part of the administrative team at Confluence Charter Schools since summer 2013, Louise Losos came to the school system following seven years as principal of Clayton High School. During her tenure at Clayton, Dr. Losos earned widespread acclaim for the improvement in student test scores, with 90 percent of students passing advanced-placement examinations, more National Merit semifinalists than any other school in Missouri, and an average ACT composite score of 26. As a testament to her achievements, Dr. Losos was selected by the Headmasters Association as one of only 25 public school principal members nationwide.
Before Clayton, Louise Losos spent many years as assistant principal of Parkway West High School and as a social studies teacher at Ladue Horton Watkins High School. A current MBA candidate at Webster University, she earned a PhD in educational leadership and an EdS from Saint Louis University, an MA in history from Washington University, and an AB in history from Harvard College.
