Never quit

"If you can't fly, then run; if you can't run, then walk; if you can't walk, then crawl, but by all means keep moving."

-Martin Luther King Jr.

Graham Chapel in Montgomery, Alabama on December 4th, 1957

Segregation throughout the U.S led to the civil rights and great problems require great leaders and Martin Luther King brought that to the table and more

Unified the African Americans mainly the younger ones due to the speech being at a college campus. Brought immense pride in themselves and hope for a better future.

“But by all means keep moving forward” initiates a never quit no matter what hardships you experience and always press forward.

“Keep moving forward” would be emphasized because its instructing a never quit attitude and is the main message of the quote.

"If you can't fly, then run; if you can't run, then walk; if you can't walk, then crawl” makes the audience believe that no matter what things you will face or no matter what you can and can’t do you can still make an impact in the world.

Syntax- the repeating of the if you can’t do this, then do something else that you can do and use that to make an impact.

This quote brings about a pride in the audience about what the future can hold and what they have the chance to accomplish. It foreshadows what they can and will become.
