1) In the Edo period the feudal system was administered by the Shogun and in the Meiji period their was no feudal system, the politics were ruled by the Emperor. In the Edo period transportation was very limited there was basket chair palanquins and oxen. In the Meiji more road ways were being created they road on bicycles and rickshaws. During the Edo period people communicated through postal and newspaper and in the Meiji period people communicated through post cards and telegraph lines.
