Learner Support Agreement
Agreement will be formally signed by all participants during the online registration system for the Digital Learning Collaborative's online professional learning courses.
Throughout the course, you will engage in interactive, collaborative, and cooperative activities with your peers including discussions and assignments.You and your peers will benefit most from the course when you are an active contributor.
This is not an independent study course. Activities and discussion forums have scheduled due dates.
This course is 6 weeks long with a 3 day orientation. For each weekly session, you will need to budget approximately 4 – 5 hours to complete assignments and discussions in the week they are due. There are no required textbooks for this course.
Ideally, you will be able to log in every day and participate in the ongoing conversation. At a minimum, you will log in three times per week to participate in the course.
The course is completely asynchronous, meaning participants do not need to sign in at the same time.
Upon completing the required 30 hours of work during the 6-week online course and submitting the final course survey, participants will earn 3.0 CEUs. Participants cannot earn partial credit for the portion of the course they have completed; incomplete course work will result in the denial of a CEU. CEUs take 4-6 weeks to be processed by the NCSU College of Education office.
Limited Drop/Add Policy
If you determine that you are not able cannot complete the course, the district cohort liaison and course instructor must be contacted.
If you find you are unable to complete an assignment by its due date, or you anticipate an upcoming absence during the course, contact the facilitator.
Communication and Feedback
Facilitator announcements are posted in the News and Announcements forum in the course. The facilitator will provide weekly feedback to all participants on their progress in the course, including feedback on participation, specific assignments, and group work.
Operating system: Windows 2000 or newer or Mac OS 9 or newer. Using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as your browser is HIGHLY recommended. Windows Explorer and Safari DO NOT support Moodle or other Web 2.0 tools to their fullest capacity.
For Internet connectivity problems, check first with your local ISP provider to be sure your connection is active.
