Forms of Government

Democracy (Representative) Power is in the peoples hands, they vote to determine a president (Ex: USA)

Direct (Democracy): People vote for laws without a representative (Ex: Switzerland)

Autocracy (Monarch): Autocracy uses one person to rule, a monarch is of royal descent (Ex: Norway)

Autocracy (Dictatorship): A dictator takes over by military force (Ex: North Korea)

Theocracy: This form gives the clergy political power (Ex: Vatican City)

Oligarchy: Gives a certain group power over an area (Ex: India)

Anarchy: A dictator takes rule by conquering previous leader (Ex: There are none today, but russia previously was one)

Communism: Country owns people's property (Ex: Russia modern day)
