Mahindra XUV 500: An SUV with Class & Style
In today’s times, SUV’s have become extremely popular vehicles to purchase in India. In fact, they are selling like hot cakes, with many families preferring these large-spaced, rough and tough vehicles for a variety of purposes. This 7-seater SUV vehicle was designed and developed at Mahindra’s design and vehicle build centre in Nashik and Chennai. In fact, all of the research and development activities for this global SUV have been aligned with global standards of quality, testing norms, technology, regulations and emissions. It is completely unmatchable in terms of its performance, style, safety and comfort and technology. The vehicle has distinctive paw-styled door handles which has a cheetah-inspired sense of styling. This vehicle has a mHawk140 engine which has a cubic capacity of 2179 cc.
This vehicle is the first of its kind vehicle that is a monocoque chassis based vehicle of the company. It has unique front honey comb grille, static-bending projector headlamps, racing-inspired twin exhaust that give the vehicle a sophisticated style and LED parking lamp.
This vehicle has been launched in two different versions which share the same engine; a 2179cc mHawk engine. The two variants, the W6 is a two-wheel drive only and the W8 can be specified in two-or four-wheel drive. The W6 has a 6-inch monochrome infotainment display, two airbags and ABS with electronic brake-force Distribution (EBD). The W8 adds to its features GPS navigation, six airbags, electronic stability program (ESP) with rollover mitigation, a touch screen, alloy wheels, hill hold and hill descent control and leather upholstery.
This SUV has been designed for international markets and is available in many different colours; artic blue, Tuscan red, volcano black, satin white, moondust silver, opulent purple and dolphin grey. The SUV has a full-fledged Driver Information System that can report all the important information about the car. It has voice commands, intelligent features like rain and light sensors and blue sense technology.
The technology that has been packed in this vehicle is astonishing. There is a 6-inch colour touchscreen infotainment system that can house all the controls that are required such as temperature controls, music controls, navigation controls and more. There is a stunning 2 DIN music player that has a DVD/CD/MP3 player/FM reception through a glass embedded antenna as well as 6 speakers which perfect sound quality.
This SUV is definitely a notch higher than other SUV’s available in the market.
