Indian Girls Basketball

On Tuesday, November 22, the Indian girls basketball team played their first game of the season at Humboldt against the Wildcats. This year's starting players are Elle Ruffridge, Olivia Ahlers, Faith Meyer, Grace Meyer, and Payton Hjerleid. The Indians and Wildcats started the game off head to head, but the Indians pulled through the first quarter with a slight four point lead at 14-10. The second quarter is where the Indians really found their stride, scoring 27 points throughout the quarter over the Wildcat's mere four. At halftime, the score stood at 41-14 in favor of the Indians, giving them a big advantage over the second half of the game. The final ending score of the game was 77-38. Top scorers of the game included Elle Ruffridge 28, Faith Meyer 15, Jill Vonnahme 12, and Grace Meyer 11. The team's shot accuracy was exactly at 50 percent, making 50 out of the total 100 shots including free throws. The Indian girls basketball team is off to a great start this season.
