E.E. Cummings


E.E. Cummings was born on October 14 1894 in Cambrige Massachusetts. As a young boy he grew up loving to write. he wrote many things including some pieces about God. When he got older he went to Harvard were his love for poems grew. I 1917  he got drafted into the military. While in the war he got stationed at Paris and fell in love with the city which inspired many of his pieces. He left the military in 1918.

After Cummings left the military he returned to Paris for two years before coming back to New York. His first collection of poems were realized 1923 titled tulips and chimneys. His second collection came out in 1925 titled XLI poem. With these to collections Cummings began to gain a reputation. In 1926 his father was killed in a car crash, that inspired Cummings to write another poem titled my father moved through dooms of love. Cummings wrote many more pieces before he died of a stroke in September of 1962 at age 67.
