WHO: America was a main exporter of the time for the worlds cotton along with India.

WHAT: Cotton is a soft, fluffy staple fiber that grows in a boll, or protective capsule, around the seeds of cotton plants of the genus gossypium.

WHEN: Around the 1850's -50/50+

WHERE: Was exported mainly from India to Britain during this time due to it still being a british colony, tropical and non tropical regions in the new world.

WHY: Was popular in trade due to its usefulness in making clothing and other types of cloth in both the new and old world.
