Genuis Hour 2
In the book Lone Survivor three men are sent to to go capture/kill a notorious taliban leader that has been killing marines in the area. Sadly, this all goes terribly wrong with only 1 out of the 3 living. How could a person live and be able to tell such a story? Many soldiers come home with a known disease called PTSD (Post Tramatic Stress Disorder each year.
Every person that has had PTSD has lived through something that caused them to fear for their lives. This doesn't even have to be in war. It could be abuse, maybe a robbery accured at your house or a shooting at a nearby gas station. Everyone in their lives have had PTSD at one point, but was never strong enough to have a long lasting affect. In the book Marcus Luttrel saw both of his friends get shot many times. At school you could possibly see your friend getting bullied and potentially beat up. You could form PTSD the only difference is how long it lasts. Seeing your friends get shot is going to be a little stronger than getting bullied. And for this Marcus would likely have PTSD longer. PTSD can be very fatal when not treated right. Chris Kyle, the most lethal sniper in U.S. history was killed by a man with PTSD when he was trying to help him with it. If this is not treated correctly people with this can possibly go insane and kill innocent people.
