Babe Ruth

                        Babe Ruth was one of the best baseball players of all time he had a total of 714 home runs that record stood until Hank Arron broke it in  1974.   Hank Arron had a total of 755 home runs.  Babe Ruth played for Boston Red Sox for awhile until he was sold to the New York Yankees in 1920.   Once Babe Ruth was sold they said a curse started on the red sox almost every game the Red Sox played against the New York Yankees they lost.

Babe Ruth was born on February 6 1895 in Baltimore in his early life he got into a lot of trouble. When he turned 7 his parents sent him to  Saint Mary's Industrial School, while he was there he learned how to play baseball he started to get really good at it. At first he started as a pitcher in 1914 for Baltimore's minor league team  then that's where it all started.  

Sadly The King of baseball passed away on August 16 1948 some of his records stand today.

here are some fun facts he won MVP in 1923 he died at age 53 on may 25 he hit his last three home runs that is really good for playing one of your last games.  He also had a daughters named   Dorothy Ruth and Julia Ruth Stevens.
