Indirectly: Intelligent

In the book "Fahrenheit 451", Beatty would indirectly be characterized as intelligent. Beatty is intelligent because he knows more about books than anybody else does. Beatty burns books, yet he quotes the words out of the books half of the time. Beatty acts like he doesn't know anything about the words that are inside of the book, but he knows the most. Beatty always acted curious about books and he used to always question the system. Intelligent describes Beatty indirectly.
