Making Inferences
Day 1( Before Strategy)

What's going on in this picture?

How do you know?

How do you think the kids feel?

How do you know?

Is it morning or night?

Where are the kids? How do you know?

What do you think is going to happen after the pillow fight?

I notice that the little boy is looking and his mouth is open, Do you think he might be talking? If so, what might he be saying?

When you make an inference, you take an educated guess based on the information that is right in front of you.
There can be more than one correct answer
We need to support our inferences with evidence from the story

Today( this week) you will  learn how to ask and answer questions about key details in a text read aloud or information presented orally or through other media. [SL.1.2]

Lets take a look at some more pictures

What do you think is going on here?

Where do you think this is happening?

What is the person in this picture doing?

How do you think the fish feel?

How do you think the person in this picture feels?

What's going on here?

Is this possible?

What do you think the dogs are looking at?

What else do you notice in this picture?

Day 2( During Strategy)
Yesterday we talked about making inferences. We looked at pictures and talked about what might be going on in those pictures. Today we are going to look at some text and answer some more questions based on inferences

Lets Play a Game

Math Riddles

Snow Ball Activity

Day 3/4( After Strategy)

Let's Review!!!
