About Mandy Marie Berry
A former Pima Community College student, Mandy Marie Berry excelled in her studies as she pursued her associate of science. Graduating with honors, she was admitted to the University of Arizona in Tucson. She studied retailing and consumer science and minored in business administration. Making the dean’s list every semester, Mandy Marie Berry won the 2009 YMA Fashion Scholarship, was recognized as an outstanding senior in the retailing and consumer sciences department, and earned the Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing Scholarship. Before graduating, she founded the university’s College Bound Club, which prepares students in underserved high school for college. Ms. Berry earned a bachelor of science within three short years.
Among her first positions out of college was a merchandising trainee for JCPenney at its headquarters in Plano, Texas. Ms. Berry then joined Michaels Arts & Crafts as an administrative associate in the merchandising department for a year and a half. Working in the home office in Irving, Texas, she was then promoted to associate private brand manager and interim assistant buyer in April 2013.
