March In-Service Offerings for Wilson Elementary and John Colemon

I will offer the following two in-services during the month of March. Please feel free to attend one that is not offered at your school:

1) iPads for Student Achievement, Part I TEAM: Activities and Materials and Motivating Students

Description: New to the iPad? Find out tips and tricks on navigating your way around the iPad. By the end of this session you should be tapping, pinching, and swiping with the best of them. You will also be introduced to productivity apps that will help make your teaching responsibilities a whole lot easier. Also during this iPad I session, classroom productivity apps will be introduced. These apps provide a digital means of organizing your students work, time, and behavior which in return will increase student achievement.

2) Basic Excel for Visual Representation and Data Analysis for the Common Core

Description: Learn how to make the most of Microsoft Excel by exploring ways to increase your productivity, visual representation, and data analysis into your classroom. With CCSS, students are expected to conduct research across the curriculum then display their data findings visually. ISTE Student Nets requires students to collect and analyze data to identify solutions and/or make informed decisions. Excel simplifies and streamlines these task and many more. Find out how to make the most of this indispensable tool.
