About Mark Kabins

At Las Vegas Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, and Rehabilitation, LLP, Mark Kabins, MD, provides comprehensive care for individuals with acute and chronic spinal and orthopedic injuries and issues. A spinal surgeon and orthopedist with over 20 years of experience in clinical, academic, and research settings, Dr. Kabins comes from a strong background in medicine. Following in his father’s footsteps as a healer, Dr. Kabins seeks to instill values of honesty, integrity, and service into his practice in order to offer his patients the best available care.

As a spine surgeon, Mark Kabins, MD, offers a range of treatments for spinal cord injuries and paralysis and other issues that affect the spinal column, including scoliosis and kyphosis. He also treats fractures, herniated discs, dislocations, and tumors. Dr. Kabins treats issues on an outpatient basis using nonsurgical procedures when feasible; in cases where surgery proves necessary, he pursues methods that are as minimally invasive as possible. As an orthopedist, Dr. Kabins treats issues including tumors, infections, and foot and ankle injuries. He also treats injuries resulting from sports.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Mark Kabins is active within the medical field in Las Vegas as well as around the country. He currently serves as an instructor in the University of Nevada School of Medicine’s surgery department and at Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also sits on the Advisory Board for Spine, a top medical journal that covers the latest in spine research. He has trained with the nation’s top spinal surgeons, including Dr. James Weinstein of the University of California, Davis, and Dr. Daniel Benson, former President of the Scoliosis Research Society.

Mark Kabins, MD, attended medical school at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He performed his internship and residency at The University of Iowa, followed by a spine fellowship at the University of California, Davis.
