About Mark Melchiori
Southern California for more than two decades, currently serves as an executive consultant to Fortune 250 companies both public and private. In this role, Mark Melchiori coordinates the overall planning, program management, architectural design, interiors, engineering, construction and facilities management of high-end mixed use, health care, and hospitality developments. He has completed over 1700 assignments in his career to date.
Over a 21-year span, he and his construction management teams have built some 2,250 housing units totaling more than 2.8 million square feet.
On the hospitality and retail side, Mark has served as the point person on a number of major Southern California projects, including the development of the seven-story, 98-room boutique Hotel Carrillo (now known as Canary Hotel by Kimpton); the renovation of the San Ysidro Ranch Resort (Voted the #1 Hotel in the World by Forbes Magazine in 2010); and the major Historical Renovation of the Granada Theatre.
In total his resume contains thousands of projects large and small and the majority of the major construction landmarks that were built in Southern California over the last two decades. A sampling of commercial and residential projects includes El Patio Gardens Housing Project; Garden Court at De la Vina; the Headquarters and Central Data Operations Center for major Bank Institutions; renovation of the Historic Deveruex School Campus; completion of the Granada Theatre Restoration effort; Reconstruction of the Braille Institute of America Regional Campus; the Health and Fitness Center for the Four Seasons Biltmore; QAD Corporate Headquarters; Paseo Nuevo Plaza Mall; La Cumbre Plaza Mall Poor Clare’s Monastery; Historic Seismic Renovation of the Queen of the California Missions; St. Vincent’s Housing Family Housing Project; Marymount Academy and many more.
Mark Melchiori was named to the first list of 40-under-40 executives of major leading business organizations in the under forty years of age; his company’s projects are five-time winners of the coveted American Institute of Architects regional project Jury Awards, his projects have won three prestigious Golden Nugget Awards from the Pacific Coast Business Conference for project constructed by his company, the company he built was named as Builder of the Year twice under his leadership. He was a District Chairman of the Associated General Contractors of California and a past member of the American Institute of Architects.
Mark Melchiori was also an integral part of the growth and change of the Community Landscape through himself and his companies Philanthropic efforts and time. The organizations that have benefited from his time and donations have included, Marymount Academy, Westmont College, St. Vincent’s School for Children, Cottage Hospital, Braille Institute of America, Center for the Performing Arts, American Heart Association, Cancer Organizations, Dyslexia Foundation, Deveruex Foundation, Franciscan Organizations, Italian-American Organizations, Storytellers for Children, Lotusland Foundation, Music Program at San Marcos High School, Sports and Athletic Organizations, Alpha Resource Center, Adopt a Student Programs at various Middle Schools and High Schools to name a few.
