About Marsha Paragonsingh
Crowned Miss Jamaica Caribbean 1998, Marsha Paragonsingh continues
to live in Jamaica, where she pursues several hobbies. An avid reader,
Paragonsingh especially likes the books To Kill a Mockingbird, Pride and
Prejudice, and The Da Vinci Code. Her favorite music includes reggae
from Shaggy, Dennis Brown, and Tifa. A rhythm-and-blues enthusiast, she
admires musician Kenny G. Fond of spending time with her friends, Marsha
Paragonsingh often invites them to the beach and entertains at her
house. A proponent of feng shui, she understands the concepts involved
in developing a home with good flow.
Highly educated, Paragonsingh has garnered a solid record of academic achievement. As an adolescent, she graduated from Immaculate Conception Preparatory and High School. She spent her undergraduate years at the Institute of Management Sciences, where she earned an associate degree in hotel management and hospitality. During this period, Marsha Paragonsingh also served as a bank teller with Century National Bank and as a front desk agent at Courtleigh Hotel & Suites. After several years, Paragonsingh furthered her education at National Home Study College and obtained a distinction in business studies. Beyond these accreditations, she is working toward her private pilot license.
