Martin J Sweeney of Dallas - Volunteer Efforts
Martin J Sweeney of Dallas is someone who firmly believes in giving back to his community; and he has been involved with many charitable organizations that have made a positive impact on the lives of others in the area. He is an experienced attorney with over thirty years of case history, starting with his work as an Assistant Country Prosecutor in Ohio in the early 1980s. Later, he transferred to Dallas and started working in civil defense litigation; and from there started building connections with local charitable organizations so he could be more of an impactful figure in his community.
Martin J Sweeney of Dallas spent some time with the Federal Court Volunteer Program, where he helped couples obtain divorce for free. He then worked for the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program where he provided free legal services to those who fall in the low-income category; helping them get free legal aid on civil issues such as taxes, bankruptcy, wills, consumer issues and more. The organization does not extend to those involved in criminal cases or other high-penalty cases such as personal injury lawsuits. These clients who receive these pro-bono services must meet strict eligibility requirements in order to obtain help.
Martin J Sweeney of Dallas is always looking for ways to give back to his community; and given his clear talent and experience in law, it gives him that extra outlet for helping those around him. He believes anyone with skills that have the potential to benefit others should volunteer.
