Elmhurst Student-Athlete Matthew Brachmann Enjoys Helping Others

Matthew (Matt) Brachmann is a talented athlete who won several awards for his participation in football and basketball while attending Montini Catholic High School. He received several honorable mentions and selections for his talent in basketball and helped his high school football team win two state championships. Due to his athletic talent, Matthew Brachmann was recruited by Elmhurst College to play for its Bluejays basketball team. He accepted the offer and enrolled at the college in 2014.

Since starting at Elmhurst, Matthew Brachmann has focused his studies on communications and logistics supply and chain, though he is still exploring his career paths. He supplements his schoolwork with a sales associate/modeling job with Abercrombie & Fitch and as a teaching assistant at the college.

In his free time, Matt Brachmann maintains a strong commitment to service work. He belongs to Best Buddies, a program on campus that works with children who have disabilities, and has contributed to service projects with the Knights of Columbus. One of his most memorable service experiences was with Feed My Starving Children. Additionally, he enjoys reading, working out, and trying new food.
