Experienced Architect and Construction Professional Matthew Poe
About Matthew Poe
A member of the American Institute of Architects since 1987, Matthew Poe holds a bachelor of architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a master of architecture from Yale University. While pursuing his master’s degree, he taught undergraduate students as a visiting professor of drawing and environmental design at the Paier College of Art in Hamden, Connecticut. He also worked alongside renowned architect Charles Moore at Centerbrook Architects. Matthew Poe’s achievements at this Centerbrook, Connecticut, firm included helping to design the Stamford Performing Arts Center.
After graduation, Matthew Poe found employment with Hartman Cox Architects, a position that allowed him to contribute to the renovation of the Frances DuPont Winterthur Museum and the Corcoran Gallery of Art. He went on to serve as a managing partner with Arlington, Virginia’s Moore Poe Architects and Hartman Cox Architects in Washington, D.C. Since 2007, Matt Poe has been the principal in charge at Ayers Saint Gross in Locust Point, Maryland.
