The mission of Hawai`i Community College is to promote student learning … in the spirit of E ‘Imi Pono (seeking excellence).

During your time at Hawai`i Community College, what has been your greatest academic accomplishment?  What challenges have you overcome to achieve academic success?  How has Hawai`i Community College helped you to achieve academic success?

Instructions:  Submit a one-page essay describing your greatest academic accomplishment.  In addition, you may also include an item that helps to illustrate your accomplishment (e.g. video, artwork, 3-D structure, etc.).  
>> All submissions must be your original work, become the property of the College and will not be returned.
>> Include your full name and UH ID number on all materials submitted, including the essay.

Your submission will be evaluated on the following criteria:
* Specific examples provided
* Thoroughness of your description
* Relevance to your academic success
* Originality/Creativity
* Quality of the work submitted
* Engages the reviewer
* Written: Maximum of 1 page, typed, double-spaced, 12 pt. font
* Creative work: Maximum dimensions of 2 ft. x 2 ft. x 2 ft. AND  must be accompanied by the essay described above.
