Roberto Bolle was born in Casale Monferrato in the province of Alessandria, Italy. At the age 12 he joined the Scala Theatre Ballet School and was noticed by Rudolf Nureyev, who chose him for the role of Tadzio in the opera "Death in Venice".
In 1996, after a performance of Romeo and Juliet, Roberto was appointed leading dancer and became protagonist in both classical ballet and modern dance. He has been playing many roles for a number of choreographers, working for "The Sleeping Beauty", "Cinderella","Don Quixote" and "The Swan Lake".
Abroad he had the opportunity to dance with the Royal Ballet in London, the Canadian National Ballet, the Stuttgart Ballet, the Vienna Opera House, the Opera of Monaco of Baviera, the Tokyo Ballet. He danced with Carla Fracci, Alessandra Ferri, Ambra Vallo and Eleonora Abbagnato.
The famous Italian dancer said in an interview that dancing is his life. He also described dance as the only way of art. At the age of 4 he danced in front of the Italian TV and decided that he wanted to enter a dance school. Dance has also improved him as a person.
Roberto Bolle has always danced better on a stage in the presence of an audience than during the lessons. He likes the contact with the pubblic, which lets him express his emotions.
I really admire Roberto Bolle for his great talent and determination. Since he was 4 years old, his dream has been to dance and he has never stopped. He is a great example for all of determination and desire to learn.
