Mean, Mode and Median

or 'average', as some people call it..

So how do you find the mean, mode and median?

Check out the Khan academy video..

The MEAN is the average of the numbers: a calculated "central" value of a set of numbers. To calculate: Just add up all the numbers, then divide by how many numbers there are. e.g (4+7+2+5+7) = 25 divided by 5 = The Mean which is 5

The MODE is the number which appears most often in a set of numbers.
Example: in {6, 3, 9, 6, 6, 5, 9, 3} the Mode is 6 (it occurs most often).

The MEDIAN is the middle number (in a sorted list of numbers).
To find the Median, place the numbers you are given in value order and find the middle number.

e.g 12, 18, 20, 22, 24
