Indian season in review

The Indian football season came to a close on Wednesday night in Lake City with a defeat by South Central Calhoun.  The Indians started off the 2014 football season with a hard fought victory over the Sioux Central Rebels 12-6.  The highlight of the season came during the homecoming game when the Indians defeated the Lake Mills Bulldogs.  Homecoming King, Sam Brinkman, kicked the game winning 27 yard field goal in overtime to clinch the win for the Indians.  The following week the Indians defeated the West Fork Warhawks and clinched a playoff berth for the first time since 2009.  The Indians drew South Central Calhoun in the first round of the playoffs and were defeated 28-6.  The Indians finished the season with a record of 5-5.
