About Mike Mandl
As executive vice president of business and administration at Emory University in Atlanta, Michael Mandl serves as the institution’s chief business officer. In this role, he oversees strategic financial leadership, facility planning, information technology, and human resources, leading more than 1,300 staff members. Additionally, Mike Mandl serves on the board of directors for Emory Healthcare and EmTech (a joint venture between Georgia Tech and Emory), as well as the President’s Cabinet, the Strategic Planning Executive Committee, and other University initiatives and committees.
Outside of his work at Emory University, Mike Mandl has served on many boards of directors, including for the Metropolitan Atlanta YMCA and the Fernbank Museum, and on the Atlanta Midtown Alliance Board’s Executive Committee. He earned a bachelor of accountancy, with distinction, from George Washington University and a master of arts in liberal studies from Duke University. Additionally, he pursued a graduate fellowship in business administration through Duke University and the University of Michigan.
