About Michael Turturice
A certified Senior Professional in Human Resources, Michael Turturice has been working in the field of HR for more than 13 years. Having studied advanced business management and development at Central Alabama College, Turturice went on to complete a bachelor’s degree in human resource management at the University of Maryland. His first professional position after graduation was as operations manager with Lake Martin Transport, where his duties included a range of HR functions, such as recruitment, training, and benefits administration. Michael Turturice then worked for several years as Tennessee state operations manager for the corporate transportation firm LG International, where he had the opportunity to grow his HR responsibilities through such initiatives as the creation of employee incentive programs and one-on-one coaching with members of the company management team.
In 2007, Michael Turturice took up his current position as HR director with Mur-Ci Homes, a 24-hour care facility for individuals with developmental disabilities. Under Turturice’s supervision, the company’s HR department has implemented a number of significant changes and innovations, including a restructured employee benefits package designed to eliminate wasted costs and the company’s first-ever formal, progressive, correction policy. Away from work, Turturice enjoys spending time with his family and participating in the activities of Hendersonville, Tennessee’s, Long Hollow Baptist Church.
