About Mitchell Blutt
With a background as a physician, Dr. Mitchell Blutt is a longtime financial executive who created the JP Morgan Partners’ (JPMP) healthcare investment group. Over his 18-year tenure with the firm, he held executive responsibilities and managed operations of a global leader in investment funds. In 2005, Dr. Mitchell Blutt cofounded his current firm, Consonance Capital Partners (CCP), which he leads as CEO.
Dr. Blutt employs his extensive medical industry knowledge in guiding a New York firm that invests solely in healthcare-related holdings through private and public equity divisions. Seeking high-performance opportunities, he manages products encompassing public equity hedge funds, private growth equity, recapitalizations, and leveraged buyouts. Having earned his MD and MBA at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Blutt maintains board certification in internal medicine. He is a member of the Weill Cornell Medical College’s Dean’s Council, and serves as clinical assistant professor of medicine at the school. Dr. Blutt enjoys activities such as swimming and tennis in his free time.
