About Mona Lisa Tello
Mona Lisa Tello attended Inter-American University and earned a BA in psychology and a BS in premedical studies. She continued her education at Mercy College, where she received an MS in building leadership and high school science. After earning her teaching certification from the state of New York, Mona Lisa Tello became a high school teacher.
Her first teaching position was with Saint Joseph of the Palisades, where her courses included biology and general science. From 1998 to 2000, she taught bilingual biology, chemistry, and physical science at Humanities High School. Ms. Tello switched to Taff High School and taught a Living Environment curriculum. During this time, she served as an OSHA Right-to-Know representative for health and safety, and judged school science fairs.
Her most recent position was with the High School of Graphic Communication Arts, where she taught bilingual science, specifically the interactions between the environment and organisms living within it. She has also held attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder coaching seminars for students of all ages.
