The Tasmanian Tiger whose scientific name is the Thylacine once roamed the remote parts of Tasmania. The last of the species died at Hobart Zoo in 1936.
The Tigers color helped it blend in to it's surroundings and allowed it to be a prolific hunter.
The Tasmanian Tiger was such a great hunter, and killed so many farmer's sheep that the government placed a bounty on them. This was the primary reason they became extinct.
