Chemical reactions are defined as any reaction occurring between two or more substance that changes the makeup and properties to create an entirely new substance. Examples of chemical reactions are burning, rusting or dissolving. On way to tell if a chemical reaction has occurred or is in the process of happening is to look for precipitate. This is any substance that is different than the others, this is most likely the process of the other substances reacting to create a new substance.
The parts of a chemical reactions are called reactants and products. The reactants are the substances that combine and then form the reaction itself. The product(s) are the substances created as a result of the chemical reaction between the reactants.
