Hernando Cortez & Hernando De Soto

Hernando Cortez was sent in 1519 to find gold. On the way Cortez landed in Mexico with about 600 men. They also met Indians on the way to Mexico. The Indians gave them food and they helped them get prepared to fight the Aztecs. Then Cortez was helped by the Aztecs too.
Hernando De Soto helped conquer the Inca Empire in Peru. De Soto also wanted the wealth and glory. In 1539 De Soto and 650 men sailed from Cuba near toward Tampa Bay. Then in 1542 De Soto died of a fever.
