What does anxiety mean?

A feeling of a person worrying or nervousness.

*It makes you worry about pretty much anything.
*Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the United States
*Affects 40 million adults in the United States (age 18 and older)
* Biting nails is and affect of anxiety

How does Anxiety happen?

*Anxiety is often set off by stress in our lives. Some of us are more common to anxiety than others, but even those who become anxious easily can learn to manage it well. We can also make ourselves anxious with "negative self-talk" - a habit of always telling ourselves the worst will happen. Some people always think about their grades and if they usually have great grades and then get a C they will worry if that will bring their GPA down.
What causes anxiety? Anxiety is caused by stress.

What are symptoms/signs of Anxiety?

Feelings of panic, fear, and uneasiness.Problems sleeping.Cold or sweaty hands and/or feet.Shortness of breath.Heart palpitations.An inability to be still and calm.Dry mouth.Numbness or tingling in the hands or feet.

Who helps people with anxiety?

Some dogs, people that have went to school to help people with anxiety disorders. they try to keep people calmed down so they do not have a major break-down.

Why is anxiety so important to know about?

Because it is very common in alot of different country's.  It is in the entire Untied States. There is over 40 million people diagnosed with anxiety a year. They have to take medicine for their nerves.
