Johannes Kepler

Johannes contracted the smallpox sickness at a young age. It left him with weak vision and crippled hands. Although he had these problems he was still able to become a superb mathematician and a skillful astrologer. He attended grammar and Latin school; from there he moved on to Maulbronn where he attended seminary to become a minister. Soon after he decided to become a teacher. He started studying in the Tübinger Stift at the University of Tübingen. The Stift was a hall of residence and teaching, this is where Hans Ulrich von Eggenberg became his associate.
