The Columbian Exchange

Some things that impacted the world.

The pigs were raised and traded from the Old World to the New World. They were one of the few animals traded. If we didn't trade pigs, we wouldn't have all the meats like bacon, pork chops, ribs, and roast. Before they were traded, they wanted the pigs to be fat because the people that are trading it they wanted the people who are receiving the pigs, have enough meat.

Cows were raised and traded from the Old World to the New World. They traded the cows for the meat. If the cows were not traded, we wouldn't have the meat like steaks and the rest of the meats. Also we wouldn't have the milk.

Grapes were grown in the Old World and traded to the New World. The grapes are used for juice, snacks, and meals. If they weren't traded, we wouldn't have all the stuff that grapes provide us.

Sugar cane was grown in the Old World and traded into the New World. The uses for sugar cane was to make sugar for cereal, candies, and drinks. If they weren't traded, we wouldn't have all the things that sugar canes provide us today.

Tomatoes were grown in the New World and traded to the Old World. Today tomatoes are used for ketchup, sauce, and the juices.
