In session 1 we defined and learned the term robots. We also listed several uses for a robot such as moving metal parts and building things that people cant with their own two hands. We then listed some advantages of having a robot and some disadvantages. After that we labeled all of the parts on the pitsco robot.
In session 2 we learned how to program the pitsco robot SAM. After we learned how to program him we made a task for him to complete then we taught him how to perform the task that we had made. After we taught him the task we ran it and then saved it.
In session 3 we learned how a touch sensor functions then we learned how to program the NXT brick. Then we created a program for the brick to do. After we created a program we ran the program
In session 4 we learned about the ultrasonic sensor. We first learned the main functions of it, then we created a fuction for it to do. We used the ulrtasonic sensor and the NXT brick.
In session 5 we learned how diffrent computer programs operate. We learned how a sound sensor functions. Then we created a program with the ultrasonic sensor and the NXT brick.
In session 6 we learned about the light sensor and what it does.After learning about it we successfully made a function for the light sensor and the NXT brick to complete. After we made the function we ran it.
In session 7 we created a task for the NXT brick and multiple sensors to complete. After we created a program we successfully ran the task. We also learned how to put multiple sensors on the NXT brick.
A career that would go with robots would be a robotics engineer. A robotics engineer designs robots and makes sure that they are working properly, maintains them,develops new applications for them etc. This career would go with robots because its working with robots daily and making sure that they're working properly.
