S2CS3. Students will use tools and instruments for observing, measuring, and manipulating objects in scientific activities. a. Use ordinary hand tools and instruments to construct, measure, and look at objects.
A ruler is usually used to measure things smaller than a foot. A ruler has many markings. These markings include; inches, centimeters, and millimeters. Today we will measure common objects in small groups. Find a partner and measure each item in the plastic bag and record your results. We will then share each groups findings with the rest of the class, and then together find the true measurement. Use the following assessment form to record your results. Do your best!
