The life of Louis Armstrong
Louis Armstrong was born August 4, 1901 In Louisiana. Louis had a difficult childhood his father was a factory worker who had left before Louis was born. Louis was a brave person because he had a real tough childhood and to come up and be come a great musician. On new years eve Louis had fired his stepfathers gun so he was sent to a boys home called Colored Waif's Home for Boys. That's where he learned to play music. In 1914 he was aloud to go home. When he got home he dreamed about making music.
His first real paying job as a musician was 1922 when he received a call from king oliver to come to Chicago to join his band because he heard about Louis brilliant work on the Trumpet. When Louis got married his second time his wife made him cut ties with King oliver because she felt like Oliver wasn't treating him right. After he cut ties with King Oliver he joined the greatest African American band. He died July 6, 1971 (age 69) in Queens New York
