Paul Saiz, MD, provides services as an orthopedic spine surgeon through Las Cruces Orthopedic Associates in New Mexico; a practice that he owns. Actively involved with the medical research community, Dr. Paul Saiz has published throughout his career. Most recently, he wrote a piece on imaging techniques for patients with trabecular metal spinal devices. In the past decade, he has also written about spinal tumors, age and back pain, and spinal stenosis. He has additionally presented at major conferences, including the Restoring Spine Seminar, the Arizona Spine and Scoliosis Seminar, the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society, and is a regular presenter at the New Mexico Workers Comp Meetings. Dr Paul Saiz also reviews scientific manuscripts for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons annual meeting (AAOS). He served on the AAOS Spine committee from 2009-2011 and currently serves on the Practice Management/ Rehabilitation committee from 2012-2014.After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Paul Saiz, MD, attended the Baylor College of Medicine. He served as a surgical intern at Maricopa Medical Center for a year before completing a residency in orthopedics over the course of four years. Subsequently, he obtained fellowships in spinal reconstructive surgery and musculoskeletal oncology. An avid soccer fan, Dr. Saiz provides financial support to a local team and coaches teams in his community.
