Dr. Nana Mimura - Florida Internist Experienced in Geriatric Care
Internal medicine physician Dr. Nana Mimura possesses extensive experience providing health care for patients from the geriatric population. From 2000 to 2014, she served as a geriatric primary care physician for Schoenherr Medical Associates in Warren, Michigan, as well as a staff physician at St. John Macomb Hospital. During her tenure with Schoenherr Medical Associates, Dr. Nana Mimura received a Vitals Compassionate Doctor Award.
In preparation for a medical career, Dr. Mimura earned a medical degree from the University of Sao Paulo, School of Medicine. Following medical school, she participated in a medical missionary program, passed all three stages of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination, and completed an internal medicine residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She holds board certification in internal medicine and possesses medical licensure in both Michigan and Florida.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Nana Mimura has received additional training in integrative and regenerative medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. She has also worked extensively with patients diagnosed with dementia as a participant in clinical trials conducted at the Research Institute for Dementia Disorders.
Dr. Mimura currently practices geriatric primary care with IPC Healthcare. Based in Southwest Florida, she cares for patients at skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living facilities located in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Naples.
