Points of interest include The National Palace, the headquarters for the President of Guatemala, also known as 'Kilometro Cero' because it is the origin of all roads in the area.
Next is Lake Atitlán, the deepest lake in Central America. It is shaped by 3 volcanoes on it's southern side.
Lastly, there is Pacaya, an active volcano, which after being dorment for over a century, erupted in 1965 and has been active ever since then.
