About Nardos King
Over the course of her career in the education sector, Nardos King has established herself as a leader in the Alexandria, Virginia, area. After completing her bachelor of science in business information systems at Virginia State University, she went on to pursue a master of arts in special education from George Washington University. Nardos King spent the early years of her career as a special education teacher at Mount Vernon High School in the Fairfax County Public School system. In this role, she taught algebra to students with learning disabilities and drafted IEPs with students and their parents.
Today, Nardos King works as the principal of Mount Vernon High School. She previously served Mount Vernon as a sub-school principal in mathematics and science and as a summer school principal. Aside from her formal professional activities, Nardos King belongs to organizations such as the National Alliance of Black School Educators Foundation, the Virginia Association of Secondary School Principals, and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
