What is a mission trip?
A mission trip is a mobilization of a Christian missionary for a short or long period of time ranging from days to a year. The short-term missionary is a recent action in the global missions movement, but many short-term mission trips are like a week or two, but a long term mission trip is like a year or two.
Why do people go on mission trips?
If you feel blessed by chances and advantages that you have received in your life and you would like to give them back, you might want to think about going on a mission trip. Mission trips allow you to volunteer, serve and help in cities, regions or other countries in need. You can offer up you help by helping build stuff, being a teacher, nurse\doctor or just about anything you can think of. You don't have to be perfect at it, and it's good experience. Plus you're giving someone else an chance to be able to count their blessings.
Should everyone go on mission trips?
There is much debate on who should go on a mission trips and what type of mission trips are the most powerful. However, before you go on a mission trip, it's important that you ask yourself a few big questions. Some people are able to be missionaries, while most people aren't. To make sure you're doing what God wants you to do, other then doing what people tell you to do, it's necessary that you look in to your heart and ask if you should go on this mission trips.
