John Cale

When I watched White House Down one of the things that popped out to me as physics was when they shot the missiles at John Cale when he was driving the presidents car. This demonstrates Newtons First Law of Motion. This law states that an object moving at a constant velocity keeps moving at that velocity unless an unbalanced net force acts on it. This demonstrates Newtons first law because when the missiles or any other bullets are shot they are being acted upon by the wind and the objects they are shot at. This means when anything is shot, it will be using Newtons First Law of Motion.

An example is when the John Cale was running away from Kyle Gatehouse and jumped threw the window to avoid the bullets from hitting him. When you jump threw a window you are using Kinetic energy. Kinetic energy is the energy a moving object has because of its motion. The kinetic energy is when moving objects depends on the objects mass and its speed. When the John Cale jumped threw the window he was transferring energy which turns into kinetic energy. So that's how Kinetic energy can be formed in one way. So when someone jumps threw a window its is creating Kinetic energy.

When John Cale threw a grenade at Martin Walker when he was capturing the President. This demonstrates Newtons Second Law of Motion. This law states that the acceleration of an object is in the same direction as the net fore on the object. Acceleration is produced when a force acts on a mass. The greater the mass, of the object being accelerated, the greater the amount of force needed, to accelerate the object. When John Cale threw the grenade at Martin Walker that is a form of newtons second law because the rate of change of momentum is directly proportional to the applied force and takes place in the direction of the applied unbalanced force. This means that when someone is throwing something in the direction they will be using Newtons Second Law of Motion.
